Basic Trail Description:

The Walks-for-wine hiking trail system consist of two day trails with alternative halfday guided walks in the Schapenberg hills at Sir Lowry's Pass. Wine tasting along the trail can be done at a number of prominent wineries such as Waterkloof, Onderkloof, Mount Rozier, Journey's End, Wedderwille and Da Capo.

Tucked in between the N2 and Helderberg, this mostly undiscovered valley has beautiful ocean views over False Bay as well as the Cape Flats with Table Mountain in the distance and to the impressive Hottentots-Holland Mountains.

Although there is much alien vegetation, clearing is being done and all proceeds from the walks go towards biodiversity conservation and the preservation of the highly endangered fynbos vegetation.

The trail can also be walked as a 2-day overnight hiking trail. Alternative accommodation is available.
