Basic Trail Description:

Pauline Bohnen Nature Reserve
The entrance to this trail starts at the parking area near the main entrance road to the town. It ascends to a lookout point halfway up a hill overlooking the town and river area. From here it meanders to the landing strip and back through indigenous shrubs to another benched viewpoint overlooking a scenic sea view. The trail then goes back to the starting point on a graded gravel road.

Western Shore Trail (Wesoever)
The trail start in the middle of town near the main shopping centre and goes down a small kloof through indigenous shrubbery to the interesting information centre, where they have a fish feeding facility. From here it follows the southern side of the Goukou river, past the harbour area to a viewpoint overlooking the delta and bay-area. It is a relaxing semi-urban walk.

Skulpiesbaai Nature Reserve
The trail criss-crosses the reserve in a labyrinth of walks. One enters the trail opposite the whale-watching spot close to the harbour. The trail takes you past very old milkwood trees to a beautiful sea-viewing spots overlooking Skulpiesbaai. Along the way you can relax at cool, shaded, benched spots. These can take from half an hour up to three hours to complete at a leasurely pace.
