Basic Trail Description:

The Snymanshof Educational Trails is situated on the Frischgewaagd road towards Potchefstroom - R54.

Day 1: (Marked with a yellow footprint - ± 3km)

This beautiful highveld trail with an abundance of indigenous trees has been designed especially for school learners. While hiking the trail, learners together with a facilitator will complete a questionnaire on the ecology of the trail as well as the other interesting aspects of this area.

The questionnaire will then go back to the school and will then go back to the school and will form part of the educators continuous evaluation.

Day 2: (Marked with a brown footprint - ± 8km)

This trail winds all the way up to the mountain, through a beautiful indigenous bush, where you will find trees like the wild pear, jacket plum and small knob wood. Coming down the mountain the hiker can take a nice break before descending down the mountain, through savanna back to the base camp. While walking quietly one can observe game like Eland, Springbok and Zebra.
