Basic Trail Description:

The Oystercatcher trail starts at the town of Mossel Bay from where it runs along the coast for four days to the Gouritz River. Shorter options are available. Most of the trail is along the white beaches but also utilizes the adjoining coastal cliff contour paths which increase the scenic value of the trail.

Many sightings of whales and dolphins can be expected at different times of the year. The trail is guided with the result that it is a truly cultural and ecological enlightening experience. Swimming and snorkeling in enclosed bays and rock pools add the the enjoyment

Accommodation is in luxury guest houses with tradition cuisine and sea food dishes. The trail ends with a boat trip on the Gouritz River from where hikers are transported back to their cars after an extraordinary unique luxury hiking trail experience.
